With the ‘Oldtimers’ series, we take a trip back to the early years of Jan van Haasteren’s jigsaw puzzles. A touch of nostalgia and, above all, a tribute to Jan’s own superb craftsmanship. In the jigsaw puzzle Let’s get on with it! forklift production is spiralling completely out of control – chaos guaranteed!

Did you know that Jan created his first large-format picture as early as 1975? The drawing Playing Pool It became so popular that there was soon a high demand for this type of illustration. Eventually, in 1980, Jumbo decided to release one as a jigsaw puzzle – and the rest is history!
